Real Life Wedding: Simone and Andy 10.11.12

Reportage - French word for 'documenting of the event, capturing the reality of the visual content', or as Australian's would say 'candid - nothing too posie!'

Bride and groom, Simone and Andy married at Bathers Pavilion, Balmoral Beach on the special date 10.11.12, on a sunny summer's Saturday.

This was the best 'arrival of the bride' ever! Simone walked down the aisle while Barry White's 'I can't get enough of your love babe' filled the air, and Andy got into the groove and rhythm of it all. This really showed the fun-loving side of the couple and demonstrated their good sense of humour.

Rings were exchanged, a kiss to 'seal the deal', then papers were signed. Ms Rosseau and Mr West were married...

Superb couture food and fine refreshments were served to the lucky guests. Closest family and friends greeted them with hugs and kisses after the ceremony. All was good in the universe on the beautiful coastline of Sydney's Northern beaches...

Let them eat cake! Talk about decadent... thirty-five guests were treated to a menu of 'pure couture' food at Bathers Pavilion for the reception. The food was absolutely delicious – enough to please any food critic anywhere in the world! Mezzapica of Leichhardt made a stunning cake of triple chocolate with ganache filling on the bottom, and exquisite vanilla tiramisu on the top! The cake was that impressive, many guests said it was possibly the best wedding cake they had ever tasted!

After the food, the very talented triple Aria award-winning band, Monsieur Camembert, played themselves into everyone's heart. They set the mood for the very happy vibe felt by all at the wedding, and played some French songs to the delight of French bride Simone. 

So the newlyweds cut the cake and then took to the dancefloor for the all-important first dance as husband and wife. Before long, the bride's parents Albert and Arlette were in each other's arms, young at heart and in love all over again. Love was definitely in the air.

The afternoon had flown by... Nieces and nephews ran freely, swimming and playing at the bayside, while guests sat in quiet contemplation. 

Simone and Andy left at 4:30 and headed home to continue their life journey together...

Head north – “Many of our couples plan to head to the Northern Hemisphere for their honeymoons, which means they’ll touch-down in winter following a summer wedding here in Australia,” says Holly. “If you’re getting married in winter, what better time to save up and head to Europe or the USA and enjoy their summer!”

5. The light fantastic – “Winter is a great time for photography,” says Holly. “The lighting is softer and you don’t have to worry about squinting in the summer sun. And your makeup is more likely to stay picture-perfect for longer,” she said.
